HP QuickRestore fix for error "Wrong Model Notebook". This error can be found on older HP Laptops with Windows XP. Once you see the error message with a command prompt, type the following commands. Press enter after each line:

SET SKPMODELCHK=TRUE
main

You may now proceed with the Recovery as expected. You may see error messages flash, but the Recovery should complete successfully.
